So, I haven't uploaded a scorecard in awhile, and honestly I didn't really care to make any but I was bored, so I decided, hey why not scorecard this show I've been watching. This is actually my second watch of this show, so these opinions are more set-in stone.

American Dad is a pretty good show to me, but it didn't start off that great. This first season was back when the show was actually political (it will become way less so later on) and it's really weird to watch. I don't think this show's political satire is that strong unfortunately, and while most of these episodes have decent jokes, their stories don't hit hard for me and a lot of them can be quite basic. Not to mention that while the characters can be fun at times, they don't feel quite fully defined yet. The show did kinda get a hang of itself by the second half of the season, but it wasn't really until the last two where you can see them trying to do more unique and creative stories. "With Friends Like Steve's" was pretty much a half-thriller with a genuinely engaging story, and "Tears of a Clooney" had a weird as hell but still really fun story. These two episodes feel like early scraps of what the show would eventually become, but other than those two and a few others this season isn't really that memorable. At the end of the day, it's just the first season so it feeling weak makes sense, but there's still enough good to call it decent. Let's see if season 2 can improve from this season.
