Description I decided to do a fractal representation of the four archaic elements: Earth, Water, Air, and Fire.
It's pretty much self explanatory but i actually quite like this one, and it's a nice balance. Please comment on what you think about it!
like them, Which one??

Made in Apophysis and Photoshop CS2

I do love these pictures! So beautiful!
My favourite one: Water ^^ (in form and in colour)

I liked this the fire and the water one looks awesome, the air is the right kind of wispy. I've thought that the earth one could use more color or something, make it more substantial or heave feeling.

air is the best one there, then again me judgment leans to air, wind and storms

Love the subtle colors and the flat earth versus swirling water, unpredicted air, and slender/sharp fire. <3

Haha this is funny, I've recently made a scetch for a homepage that looked almost exactly liked this

I'll guess that's a good thing, means you have great taste

One thing though I think you should consider using another font, perhaps something that doesn't draw that much attention?

thanks man, lol, yeah i've had a couple of people say that they've though tup similar things.

yeah, do you think it's too "BLaRRGHHh"?

sickeningpessimist In reply to RedundantButterfly [2006-10-25 15:28:40 +0000 UTC]

Not the fractals they're elegant, but the way you framed them and the font lowers the overall perspective.

Do something about that and it'll be alot better, trust me.

RedundantButterfly In reply to sickeningpessimist [2006-10-26 02:42:30 +0000 UTC]

what should i do about the frame then?

i'll look for a font that is less in-your-face

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

sickeningpessimist In reply to RedundantButterfly [2006-10-26 16:01:08 +0000 UTC]

Well first off I think you can make the white frame a little bit subtler by using a smaller line or giving it some opacity. When I frame my works I usually go with something about 3 px, it's not that visible but it's still quite a difference from nothing. Also when (if) you are gonna do the framing once again I would also suggest that you give your work some more space, so that your works don't look so crowded

cool, i'll do that when i get to my comp at home, this ne doesn't have PS. Thanks for the tips
i'll let you know when i've fixed it up

what do you think of them? i wasn't quite sure what to do, but have a look none-the-less.

thanks for the help

sickeningpessimist In reply to RedundantButterfly [2006-11-08 12:56:37 +0000 UTC]

Much better! Looks very good now.

One very very minor thing is that the name "4 elements" could be a little more up but thats really just detail.

GJ and no prob dude, glad I could help out

yeah it was hard trying to make fractals that fit.... i might keep trying and update later on... just a thought.

yeah it's cool. the render didn't work out quite as nice as i'd hoped, but i didn't rerender... so it's a bit too grainy for my liking
