Description
Took about 3 1/2 hours; not my best work but I needed something to relax. The thylacine, or Tasmanian Tiger, has got to be one of the cooler-looking extinct animals. Perhaps it's got something to do with those gorgeous backstripes, or that ridiculously huge gape. I dunno, but you can't just help but love thylacines.
It didn't stand any higher than your average pet labrador, but it was longer in body and had the general demeanor of a hyena.
Heh, and you know, unusual for a marsupial, the males have pouches too. But they didn't carry babes in them. The males' pouches were there to protect their, eh, sensitive parts as the moved through the dense forests. So, you learn something new every day, don't you?

Lovely drawing; simple yet nice. The anatomy seems to be pretty good, especially with the back legs. A lot of people don't get their joints right (a lot of people being me), but you got them spot on. :3 If I may critique, the head is a bit too much on the large side, but other than that everything is fine.

Thanks! I can see what you mean about the head being pretty big, especially when I compare it to the size of the back feet. But I'm happy you liked the way the back leg joints worked out in this picture ^_^

I really like how you did his head. The best part about the thylacine is their gaping maw.

Yeah, having a gape that wide for a predator is really cool... and scary!

Love it
Have you been to the thing at the Melbourne museum? The Wild exhibit? It's pretty freaking awesome.

Oooh, no I haven't been to the Melbourne Museum in a while now. It sounds like a great exhibit, though. Do you know if it'll be finishing up soon? I might be able to see it after my exam period. ^^

Yup, I guess the crotch-pouch is nature's underwear.
And thank you ^^
