you guys should have expected it by now. Rajin kindly suggested that she was lacking contrast with the background... and you know, i agreed. so, i changed the background. (a few others also mentioned the background lacked something... i'm so lucky to have other people to give this stuff a fresh look. 
) you guys like?(on a side note... i can't draw clouds.) and while a dragon flying in the background did occur to me, i think it would disrupt the focus of the image.

I love the flowing lines of the dress and the tattoo on her back is great. It stands out nicely without being over the top. I like that you didn't use black lines for it or the rest of the art.

thank you, i don't use black lines, or linework, because quite frankly, i'm not very good at it. i prefer the gradual tones of traditional painting, so i guess that's how i paint.

I can understand. I've never been great at painting, so I stick to pen and pencil works. I think I will always have a love for a good ol' pen and ink, but I have been trying some digital inking recently and it brings out a neat effect. ^^

if you full view some of the old stuff, it's rather choppy, and messy.... i've been working hard at cleaning my pictures more lately.

actually, i just suggested clouds here by adding light where a cloud would be... if the image had relied on it those clouds would not have worked.

Having seen this revision, I have to say that the darker background does help bring out her hair. I love both versions, but I have to give this one the edge.

thank you. i think with the other one i tried too hard to stay in the chosen color pallette. i still like the other one, but i like her this way too. .... though her shadows should be tinted a bit more blue i think... (goes off to ponder.)
