Well, you got the eagle right it is in fact supposed to be a Fish eagle. And the other birds are Southern Ground Hornbills. :3 There's a link at the top now to a web page about these birds. :3

Not gonna lie, that wouldn't be much help nowadays.

Unfortunately Animal Planet isn't really about animals anymore. Their new slogan is 'surprisingly human.' There are shows on there now about swimming pools and tree houses (seriously why are those not on HGTV instead?)

I think they really started going downhill after Steve Irwin's tragic death. Almost anything they show about wild animals now is in a negative light, stuff like Monsters Inside Me, Animals Gone Wild and the like. Almost anything positive they show about animals now is how they can benefit humans, ie cute pets, vet shows, Tanked...

I hardly watch TV anymore, so I very well could be wrong and there may still be some good stuff on AP, just not at a convenient time to watch.

If you want to get your fill of Irwin-era-esque animal shows and high quality documentaries, check out Nat Geo Wild. It is everything Animal Planet no longer is.

Thanks! Didn't know Animal Planet strayed so far ;-; I watched both channels until my family and I moved. Now I don't watch to much tv, it just doesn't entertain me as much anymore XD
