It's going alright! I'm looking forward to fall break and maybe getting to draw a little. I've been working on a Nikki Lupus-centric story

I hope it feels better soon!! It's about how she gets roped into using her linguist skills for Dr. John Pendragon and his band of explorers and (hopefully) how she meets Danny Sherwood. I'm four pages in with the thumbnails, and a little further with the dialogue, but I'm still struggling to find the right tone for the comic.

Sounds interesting. Well, I guess if you keep writing the script you will eventually see the tone. The script is fairly important. It's great that you have thumbnails, I'd just suggest writing most of the script, or at least setting up the timeline before getting into the drawing part too much. I understand the feeling of wanting to start drawing before everything is ready. But finding the tone is kind of important. But I guess even if the tone isn't exactly what you are looking for at first it could still change later on. Usually, the start is mainly intro's and exploring characters and settings.
I usually like to make my character's personalities set the tone of the story, but that's just me though.
I hope you figure it out soon. And I am eager to read it when you finish.
I myself is supper eager to start with the color on the first page for Mothial, and can't wait for my hand to get better.
