First of all, I would like to thank the artist, , for taking the time and effort in preparing this 1st draft design. This is an updated look of the iconic US Colonial Marine body armour and weapons from the Aliens franchise.

Looking back, it's easy to see why the US Colonial Marine body armour and gear designs still look functional and realistic even after nearly 30 years. Looking at current real world and Halo franchise body armour designs, the only updates needed are giving the helmet and radio headsets a more modern design and streamlining the torso armour and shoulder guards.

That made me wonder, what sort of updates/redesigns can I make for the US Colonial Marine body armour and gear designs?

For now, I've suggested to give it some modest updates based on real world designs and the UNSC Army and Marine body armour designs from the Halo franchise.

unusable also came up with his own suggestions and added them to this 1st draft design. He also made his own take and changes on the US Colonial Marines' weapons and gear. What his suggestions currently seen here are:
(a) With video ballistic visor attachment.
(b) Motion tracker now a fold out SMG (Based on the real world Magpul FMG9 - www.youtube.com/watch?v=sq2Yne… )
(c) M41 rifle redone on a KRISS Vector base

This is currently a 1st draft. has stated that he intends to add further updates. However, he said it's ok to post out this 1st draft. Hope everyone enjoys this.
