AU set in the 1600s during witch hunts. Professor Sycamore is just another village member, but has a strange fascination with the 'magics' people are being accused of using. so he starts researching it farther, finding that this magic wasn't magic at all, but optical illusions or science. upon figuring this out however, he himself is accused of witchcraft. luckily for him, he was not the only one looking into these 'magics'. Another villager, a girl named Wolf had been researching these instances as well. the night before Sycamores execution, she pays a visit to his house to see if she cant claim any items for herself. there she sees his equipment and realizes he was not only looking into the witchcraft accusations as well, but was much farther along and had a much firmer grasp on how exactly it worked. realizing he was innocent and about to be executed, she runs to the scene. she is able to use some science tricks she learned herself to free him. but in the process she got the both of them labeled as the devil itself. now they run around the country researching there sciences further, avoiding the police, and saving as many innocent scientists as they can.
