Hydra II: A Bathyos-like Planet was a planet , the second planet of the Hydra system , located in the galaxy 's Alpha or Beta Quadrants . It was the homeworld of the advanced, aquatic Hydran civilization . Hydra II was nearly entirely covered by a warm ocean , with only a few islands with green vegetation visible from orbit. Its average surface temperature was 28° Celsius . It orbited a mean distance of 145 million kilometers from its star , taking 2.15 solar years to complete each orbit. The ocean floor supported kilometer-tall underwater cities formed from sculpted coral and seaweed. In the early 2230s , on reference stardate 1/67 , Hydra II was discovered by the Mann-class starship USS Poseidon. Ship's personnel took shore leave and make first contact with the natives. The world subsequently became a notable Federation haven. The planet is unrelated to worlds of the Hydran Kingdom .

Hydra III: A Earth-like Planet with Rainforests, Jungles, Trees, Forests, Rivers, Lakes, Mountains, Cliffs, Deserts. Colonized by United Federation of Planets and Starfleet Command in 2230s.

Hydra IV: A Red, Orange Saturn-like Gas Giant with No Planetary Rings, and 83 Moons.

Hydra V: A Cyan Bespin-like Gas Giant with 45 Moons.
