Great work! A few things:
1) Great job with the mane, you could add a few more highlights though, but the tail needs a bit of work. You've got the right idea but there shouldn't be 5 different 'chunks' if you know what I mean. That makes it look really striny and unrealistic. Try putting one big chunk, and smaller ones coming off it, similar to this; [link] [link] [link]
2) I like how the stocks fit together, but the coloring needs work. The grey of the horse doesn't really match the pink/red/orange of the background. You've done a great job recoloring the horse but here some ideas for recoloring it to match the background;
~ (Assuming you use photoshop) New layer, fill it with a color from the background and then create it as a clipping mask over the horse layer (you can find tutorials about clipping masks) and set the layer style to like Soft Light and lower the opacity, whatever looks best. ^^
~ Color Balance (Ctrl + B), Hue/Saturation (Ctrl + U), Brightness/Contrast (Image ยป Adjustments ยป Brightness/contrast)
That's about all I can find. Great work!

thanks and don't feel like a fail it just takes a TON of practice in photoshop to get better its a very difficult program so if you stick with it im sure you will get there.
