Yes, I know, I'm two days late... >_>
First real Tales of Destiny fanart!
I beat it about two weeks ago. Great game. I wish they'd localize the PS2 version so I can see all the prettyful anime cutscenes... prettyful Leon...*ahem*
Right! So I'm quite proud of this. The idea came to me suddenly a week or so back, but I started sketching it during CSI Wednesday, finished yesterday, inked and colored today. It's just about the longest time I've ever spent coloring with colored pencils, but I'm happy with how it turned out; I probably won't CG it after all. (Even though it looks so much better IRL. Stupid scanner.)
One picture I visualized in my head that actually came out as I imagined it. I guess this gets rid of my artist's block! And I can actually tell it's a rose! And they're rose petals! People recognized them! Yay!

Ooh, this is very well done. .___. I love the clean line art and the soft coloring. And his face, its peaceful! I always remember Leon having such a stick up his butt that I never thought he'd have a calm look, but rather a perpetual sneer, but you captured a calm moment for him that I love a lot. Overall, great job.

This is so pretty T_T It's kinda sad though because he dies >_< (well not really... he comes back in tales of destiny 2 but I think he dies AGAIN >__< I haven't read up alot on it, and they're supposedly NEVER releasing the 'real' TOD2 to the US so ... POOP on it ;_; ) I love the rose petals, and the fact that you made the rose he is holding as a black rose. It holds some good symbolism. Very pretty coloring... I

Ah, thank you so much!! I'm so glad somebody noticed. I really wanted to fit in the black rose somehow, because I thought it just fit him. And this picture (for me) was kind of giving him some peace for once, y'know? After all that's happened to him...

Your picture of Leon looks good. The line art looks well drawn. Also, the shading is quite clean and simple. Just looking at it makes me feel melancholic towards Leon's fate....

Says who? I actually spent time on this, because it's Leon (<3), which is why it actually looks good. xP Most of my other stuff done in colored pencil is lazy and bad.

Critique encouraged...? Hmm...well, if you tilt your head sideways you can see some things are slightly off balence. Everyone has trouble with hands so I'll skip that. Add more shadows...or just extend the ones on the page. The ears are a little small. I could go on but I'll stop there...

This is really, really nice. I love the way you colored it. Everything in this is, like, perfect! My only suggestion would be to make his knuckles come out at different lengths. That is the only unrealistic thing I can find here.

Oh, also, I love how you did the eyes and the hair. The shading on the hair is great. I can tell you spent a lot of time on this.
