At first this was really playing with my mind to have the mouse the size of the human, either that or everything is mouse-sized with a teeny bird

This is absolutely charming and wonderfully executed.

You've made a lot of really good uses of the stocks chosen and made the whole piece a real fantasy that I would love to see, see even be in a movie.
1. The mouse woman's dress and animal parts are seamlessly pieced together.
2. The light and shadows and light reflections are almost nearly perfect.
3. There's real depth to it and the owl and tree coming in through the window or book case is a really, really nice touch, it ties it all together.
A few critiques are needed however,
1. The candle light is glowing and casting light on the book case just as it should, but the dress is lacking the same glow or light casting from the candle. The feet or paws of the mouse or rat? Well the paws would have a slight colored shadow sort of, because of the candle light would be casting a yellow tint of light on the floor.
2. The left hand or paw of the creature is needing shadow just behind the hand on the dress. Also the left hand needs to have some shadow on the wrist area at the end of the sleeve.
That's it, that's all I can see that needs some fixing up.

Lovely and very Victorian looking, the mouse is so appropraite in this pose. I also really like how you have the bird and tree coming in through the window
