In recent times, micro people have slowly become a common plague, infesting cheap apartments like parasites. The good thing is that these “people” are so small that their presence goes unnoticed by almost everyone.

When you come home after a long day, watching your steps on the floor isn’t something you usually do. And so, an entire colony of micro people got wiped out in an instant under the sole of a boot. The few survivors, scattered across the floor, panicking, can do nothing but flee and try to regroup later.

The elegant landlady wasn’t even aware of their presence in her apartment, so she didn’t bother keeping an eye out for them. She didn’t even feel them crunching beneath her in their last moments, because of the thickness of her footwear. The entire existence of that colony went unnoticed, from the beginning to the end.

It’s probably better to be ended like this, rather than being sucked up in her vacuum cleaner the next day, or eaten by her cats.
