There I was, small like an ant. I don’t know how or why I shrunk, it just happened. Maybe it was an illness, maybe I had superpowers without knowing, or maybe it was just a cosmic joke. Being tiny had always been my dream, but now that it happened, I was scared to death. Running desperately around the empty classroom, I tried to figure out how I ended up in that situation. Then, the door opened, and I saw her. She sat down on one of the mountain-sized chairs and began leafing through her textbook, taking notes. She was my classmate, and the friend of a lifetime. I ran in her direction, with the intention of getting noticed. But then, she removed her right foot from her shoe. I stood in awe before her titanic socked foot, tapping frenetically. She often did that when she was bored, and I always tried to sneak a peek when it happened. But from that new point of view, it was a completely new experience. I could see every thread of her sock, the fabric already damp with her sweat. I tried to imagine how it would feel on my skin. I explored every inch of her foot with my gaze, fantasizing about the shape and the aroma of her foot beneath. Then I realised that I could reach it. If I climbed while her foot was still up, then I could do it. I could get in her shoe and live my dream together with her. It was almost like she purposefully created a way for me to be with her. As if she was inviting me. I immediately abandoned all my fears and all intentions of getting rescued. The entrance to my future was already there, a heaven of fabric and sweat. As I approached her shoe, I knew there was no turning back.

Hey everyone, thanks for visiting and happy 2021! As you can see, I experimented with something different from usual here. I recently picked up digital drawing and I’ve decided to try posting something I did, along with a short story. I am aware that there’s plenty of room for improvement, to put it lightly, but hopefully you’ll appreciate it. There are two versions, and the story changes a little. Let me know what you think and if you would like to possibly see more like this in the future.
As for regular stories, I am currently on hiatus, due to a difficult period for me and a general lack of inspiration. I will certainly continue to post them, but at the moment I think that they’ll have to wait.
