Throughout all these years Chris has lost many of his comrades , in the process of bringing the world it's lost order , even almost Jill ... and now Piers is gone too. Could anything be the same for him again ? Surely everyone has their own limit of how much they can handle. Once we get close to that line and our facade begins to shatter what else is there left to do ?
If there's only one person that can understand this troubled mind... why not give it a go ?
The thought of making this came to me after watching a movie 8MM. I was expecting to turn this into a comic but with the current lack of time here's just kind of "trailer"

The ending of Chris' campaign was ... unexpected - among other things. Having in mind how the rest of the campaign had sugary endings.
I saw lots of people sharing the opinion that Leon is one of the dullest and shallow characters in the series - while its a total opposite. But that's just how showing just the characters' heroic side hurts their portrayal and dehumanises them at some point. This being said I agree with what you wrote 100%.
Seeing what capcom starts doing since resident evil 2 & 3 remake..maybe there is hope for us to see those characters fully grow "on screen". Not just through in-game notes and conjectures.

i'm a Nivanfield fan, but i gotta say this pic is really really really awesome. Impressive strong emotions in it, friendship, comradeship, kinship, and love maybe. Chris is crying and suffering for his loss over the years, while i can feel Jill is heartbroken for all this too. Fighting bioterrorism over 20 years made them strong, scarred, but still soft and tender in heart. So beautiful warriors they are. I hope their comfort for each other do working...
In fact, i really hope Capcom treat him better T0T

As you noticed all these year that they have been fighting didn't made them numb, apathetic (which happens in majority of cases) and instead they keep going , caring about those around them. That's indeed beautiful and unique which only convinces me that they will do just fine 
As for treating him better, if Capcom didn't put him on the front line, Finn wouldn't have the reason to admire his awesomeness

I don't ship these two (Nivanfield for me) but i really love this picture, seeing it beyond romantic pairing, Chris and Jill are very close friends so other than Claire she would be the one conforting Chris when he needs a shoulder to cry on for losing Piers and others. We don't want to see him break down again but i'm sure he has his moments where he just needs to let it all out, Really good work capturing these intense emotions.

I can be very defensive when it comes to Nivanfield, but i tend to mind my own business and don't go like "hey, that ship is wrong blah blah", yep him, he's doing really beautiful work.

Although you're right and I make quite a lot of works with Chris and Jill in it they all are not necessarily connected to one another, do you know what I mean by that?
And for that matter I'm happy that you were able to see beyond that romantic part, which most of the people only notice (HannibalxWill Graham=gay; Dr.HousexWilson=gay for the shippers ;d) and instead perceive the depth of partnership that connects these two

I see where you're coming from but people like this just give shippers a bad name, they're a special kind of crazy, I consider myself a shipper as well, I adore Piers and Chris and i don't like seeing them with other romantic partners, however you won't see me stepping in people's works, for example a Chris x Jill pic saying "oh this is wrong, Chris should be with Piers blah blah" is not of my business, same case when I see people shipping Piers with Claire, even trying take our ship name Nivanfield, i say nothing, each to their own, I haveonly say something if i see the character being degraded, but i have learnt to mind my own business with these things.
But that's alright, you don't consider yourself a shipper, maybe you are a casual shipper? Idk xD Sorry to have called you that since you're not a fan of the term.

ok to be honest this work here is really putting more pain and sadness in to my heart
i have been having a very sad week and its all because of all these spoilers that i read and see about RE Vendetta especially about my beloved Leon

and second i have always noticed the emotions in your works that always made me speechless and never had the perfect words to describe the way i feel when i see them but i left your page with a smile on my lips joined with some tears whether i was feeling happy or sad ( some times angry ) especially if it was about my beloved Leon its always touch my heart so deeply

the way the lights reflects on his charming eyes is so great it shows a lot of his mixed emotions that he is having at this moment
he looked as if he was at first angry and ready to face that thing in front of him but then he realized the danger he is in when he heard the ticking as if he knows its too late for anything ( that frown in his forehead changes everything)

The first time I watched the trailer of upcomming Resident Evil 7 with this Go Tell Aunt Rhody atmospheric masterpiece playing in the background I thought I had to recreate it (since they were suppose not to be any old characters in the game).
It started with Sewers and since I don't have time to make a comic (nobody would care about it anyway, I think) I'm only submiting renders like the screenshots to fill my concept story.
Obviously I'm working on making some more positive artwork from now on, as promised

I'm very sorry to read about it 
From the lack of any information about Leon's childhood I decided to fill this gap with a suitable background. In my country, instead of wearing imaginary costumes and playing trick or treat , people visit the graves of their loved ones to celebrate their memory ...therefore you can see Leon simply...standing by the grave of his mother. I figured his mother would have a strong impact on Leon's personality - especialy her absence. That something which might happen to her would perhaps explain why he was so eager to join the Police forces and allocate him in Raccoon city.
It's a long story , thus I don't think you'd be even interested in reading it all.
I was planning to include it in one of my projects anyway.
Let me tell you something, dear
But here's something I think is crucial for fixing a situation a little bit: It's okay to be compasssioned with others, but to a certain point - when you don't take it too much personaly. Change your way of thinking so that it doesn't bring you down but allows you to be strong for that person.
~In our case though, Leon has been almost 20 years now in what would seem like a nightmare - people around him die on his sight, and altough he tries - he's helpless about it. He lives in continuous insecurity, he has suicidal thoughts but he keeps going no matter what.
In short : Leon's and other main protagonist's story is not just about killing zombies and such but a story of a beautiful people , with beautiful value system - by whom example we can work our way through the hard times and keep in mind that everything will be allright eventualy

and to tell you the truth when it comes about my beloved Leon i cant hold myself or control my feelings no matter how hard i try its really out of my hand
it may sound silly for others but its really very important to me and it dose mean a lot to me he is very precious + special and very dear to my heart i cant stand seeing him in pain and suffering even when he is smiling i know that behind that smile millions of pain and sadness and thats what hurt the most
and i cant stand any negative views about him and there are lots of negative views about him from RE Vendetta that made me very anxious about him
but i am really glad to know that there are people like you my dear who understand and feel our beloved characters the way i do
even though your works make me suffer a lot
and by the way, i am not sure if i told you about this before or you already know about it but either way in the RE Vendetta they were to show some about my beloved Leon childhood but then they decided to not do that ( and how i hate capcom for doing this why capcom? why? )

And about that sadness covered behind a smile...unfortunately...one who suffered such trauma as Leon could probably never ( or with great effort) experience happyness the same way as before the nightmare. Every moment of joy, happy memory, experiencing pleasure faces an endless ocean of questions: why me? why was I meant to live? while others around me die. ; why do I feel like I was given a life that was taken from others? ; Did they must die in order for me to keep living ?...
Perhaps that's what called a bitter-sweet ending, I think... or is it just me ?
Especially when I watched an interview with Matt Mercer at E3 this year on the Re:Vendetta.
I honestly can't imagine what could people possibly hate him for in a movie... I myself preferred his looks in Re: Damnation , but at some point it's also nice to see that Capcom took to their account that the events have a huge impact on him and accordingly made him look more broken (

And maybe that's what people are whinging about..because the way Capcom handles things (in my opinion) is expressing the serious content in a subtle way. Little things, actually - like expressions, eye contacts, body language. And you can't really read those things if you're out of focus or looking at it shallowly. Which by the way is what the majority does.

It's a trick also used in many movies such as Logan for example - where the beginning of the story was left to your imagination only driven by details hidden in the movie itself.
Nevertheless I, just like you, belong to group of people who like to see things with their own eyes.
