Paper House Models I have designed over this last yearFor over a year I have been developing HO-Scale paper house models that can be sold as PDF downloads on the web. Some of them are a snap to build ... 15 minutes ... while others take about 2 hours to build ... even with practice!
I design my models, first, as a sketch in Microsoft Paint because it's easy and quick to "think" when I use that program. I also work out the basic assembly modules while in Paint. Next I go to Adobe Illustrator CS3 where I create the technical drawings with precise measurements and angles. I print and assemble the model as a method of troubleshooting the design. Now, I go into Adobe Photoshop CS3 to add color and decorate the model. My final project is distributed as a PDF created in Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro.
I write and illustrate an instruction sheet for each model. Bill Turner offers my models for sale on his American Paper Buildings Project page. These are available at Poolsiderails.com/APBP [link] ... there are free samples and some great models "For Sale".

You're right! ... Bill Turner's website still has some pictures ... but no links. Same for hie papertecture.org pages ... great stuff is there ... but not my links.

These designs were going to be (and still MAY be) a commercial project ... I plan to market the PDF files of my original art so that you can buy the PDF and print it on your printer as many times as you like. Two colors of house in each kit ... one the mirror layout of the other (garage on the left ... garage on the right). Here's a link to the test marketing page ... still under construction: [link]
