It was April 1, 1994. Mr. Plotz's birthday. It was a normal business day just like any other day, and he wanted to keep it that way.

With the Warners recent escape from the tower just a few years before, the threat of their zany antics was at an all time high. He ordered his closest adversaries to double down on keeping an eye on the Warners all day. Or at least until after he did his conference later that evening.

The day went by, and nothing happened. No incidents in the studio, no angry calls, nothing. It was a regular normal day. With each ticking moment, Plotz felt a growing sense of relief. When it was time for the conference, he had all but forgotten about them. Plotz went up the podium to greet his audience.
He cleared his throat and pulled out the notes he would begin to read. But on the first sheet was a message he hadn't seen before scribbled in crayon."Heelllllooooo Birthday Boy!- Yakko"

Suddenly, he could see Dr Scratchensniff and Ralph rushing towards him, pushing past the everyone else in the audience. Somehow Plotz knew things were about to go horribly wrong. Realizing he had been lulled in a false sense of security, He rushed for safety behind the curtains. Little did he know Yakko Warner was waiting for him, and with a gift.
And the worst part, it tasted like coconut. He hated coconut.

I figured I would start posting more short stories to go along with new pieces. I'll be honest, I feel I could have done a better job with this piece. Getting the line work and shading to look right was a real challenge since I'm still getting used to doing line work with the tablet pen. This was also an experiment in getting straight lines for the background. But I still like that the scene is still readable, despite that there is a lot going on.
