Damn this pic took soooo long. But at least I now have a Digimon pic that doesn't totally suck... not totally. Anyway, I don't even remember where I got the idea for this really. That Characters are, as usual, my favouritees from Digimon season three, in my oppinion but of all the series', Takato and Ruki (Rika whatever)The faces were a rteal treat, especially getting them the same size and all. I think I spent two days on the lineart for that alone. As well I did some shine testing infulenced by my Art Teacher. Most of this is on with the paintbrush, bu the goggles and headphones are are done in a way that closer resembles cell shading. Also, good owes to me for now hacking out any old BG. Actually it was surprising easy once I realize I didn't need to over do things. I hope you all like it and Digimon Forever... NOT SEASON FOUR.

Also, about season 4. I agreed, I actually liked the charas, but after a while they focused too much on the mains.
Still, Kouji and Kouichi remain as some of my favorite anime Charas and Junpei has made quite a few fics I faved.
Also, I liked being able to adapt the spirits seperately into other seasons(Like there's one where I kinda spliced the spirits into an Season 2 Aftermath.)
Tomoki was the only Chara I REALLY didn't like, he didn't bring much and he didn't fit what an "Ice" Warrior could be. Yes, I'm using the Japanense names. Get over it if you don't like it.
Fortanately, there was this ONE really good fic I read. It was an alternate version of season 4 where they focus on Izumi, Junpei and Tomoki(Who the writer managed to write in a way that made him WAY better then in the series).
Anywho, Great picture and it gave me a place to ramble. Faved already BTW.

Crap, I wrote this once already so this time it's going tobe a little rushed.
I never had a problem with Kouichi. Actually I think he's the best character in that season. He went from finding out he had a twin, to trying to meet that twin, too making up in a bizarre new world with the people he had apparently been trying to kill looking after him. Ya, I'd be a little nervous too if I was him, but he never once sluffed off from a fight, especially when his brother's life was at stake. That my friend, 200 pounds of awesomeness.
Kouji I didn't like to much, at least not throught he first half of the series. I found I like him better when they weren't trying to make him into a badass. He got a lot more depth when he found out about his brother, and when we were intoduced to him home situation. The best moments I can think of involving him, are times when he was nice, like when he offered his jacket to Izumi. Classy move right there.
Takuya I didn't like to much for the opposite reason. Takuya was at his best when he was pulling some fearless crazy stuff or as a Digimon. His best moments were going beserk as Vitramon, deciding to board the Dark Trailmon the second time, and well you get the idea. Even Takuya's digivolution into Agunimon seemed to have something extra that the others lacked. However usually he was just... loud... kinda obnoxious really.
Tomoki I didn't mind either. Again, though, it was the second half when I started to appreciate him. Right when I was beginning to think 'If this kid cries one more time I am going to put my fist through my TV' he stopped. And not only did he stop, he got to show off to the kids that used to pick on him and his brother that not only was he not as much a whiny little brat as he used to be, but he could friggen take a shot or two. Granted he started as the most annoying, but he also made the most improvement, including one kickass scene in the seventh movie.
The character I really hated, was Izumi. Sorry if you like her, but I can't stand her type. You ever get the feeling that the only reason they added a girl character... was because they thought they had too? That's basiclly what it felt like watching her. I found her 'problems' to be ridiculous, and the fact that they made her incomperably weaker than the other children truly bugged me. Now, I guess she was suppose to be charming, but that only works if you have redeeming traits, and sorry but 'looks good in pink' does not count. Otherwise your just irritating. Legendary warrior my foot.
Now don't get me wrong. Mimi from season 1 was a girly girl as well, but Mimi knew she wasn't a fighter and bowed out during the dark masters. The amusing thing here though, is that Mimi still showed more guts (not to mention common sense) than Izumi by doing this. She also united everyone who wanted a piece of the Dark Masters and led the charge so to speak in the final battle. I start grinning from ear to ear just remembering that.

I agree season four was weak. But that was the next step. If humans could combine in the digital world. It was only a matter of time before they had Humans become the digimon. But the thing I hated the most was the fact that it got to childish in the story. The other seasons had a story that a younger person might like but at the same time it was mature enough for older audience members. Thats something they didn't have in season 4. That and the story was weak.

Hmmm Well I gotta admit. At first seeing the main dude turn into Agunimon was pretty cool... And I still kinda like Vitramon's design... So, there were some good points. But like you said. I really didn't like the story, or the fact that Junpie, Izumi, and the other kids got reduced to Cheerleaders. I actually had to give props to season one for how it handled that. Even when Mimi quit fighting with the Dark masters she didn't become a token character. Good on her.

Howdy. To answer your question, in season four they took out the Digimon/Partner relationship. Aso, there were only two characters that really did anything, the ther others were demoted to cheerleaders half way through. Ironically the seventh movie actually wasn't half bad because everyone still had a role and it really cashed in on the war between beast and human styled monster. But the series as a series was just... pretty sad.
