Well, it took 25 episodes, but the Lyoko Warriors have finally done it: Aelita is finally out of Lyoko! Jeremy's long hard nights of having to just fap to the pink elf on a computer screen have finally paid off! But I kid, it wasn't easy bringing a virtual being into the living world. Also, after months of stalking the gang and trying to catch them in their virtual heroics (not like it would work thanks to "Return to the past, now!"), Principal Delmas has had it with Jim's shit and fired him after he causes Jeremy to sprain his ankle, right before he can materialize Aelita of all times! By the way, the disc he got before is some of Odd's best work; it shows you do an ear grating annoying song right.

It's actually with Jim's help that Jeremy is able to bring Aelita among the flesh. And I know these episodes are meant to focus on her and what it means for her now that she is out of the supercomputer, but who I really love here is Jim "Jimbo" Morales. He's actually really cool with becoming a part of Jeremy's gang after he learns of their secret, so long as he can get his job back, of course, and inevitably proves he can be very handy in a XANA attack when XANA himself brings a little something out Lyoko as well: Kankrelats! This is one of only two times where XANA manages to materialize his monsters to the living world and one of the very few schemes he actually reuses for good reason… who WOULDN'T try sending genuine monsters to attack Earth? I mean, sure, Kankrelats are basically Goombas, but they got FUCKING LASERS!

Speaking of XANA, he proves what a truly crafty bastard he is by linking his and Aelita's lifelines to the supercomputer a la Kami and Piccolo of Dragon Ball Z; if the supercomputer shuts down or dies, so do the both of them! And XANA continues to pull even grander evil gambits than this as the show progresses. Let me put it this way: he goes from possessing a teddy bear and making it into King Kong in the first episode to trying to NUKE the factory and worse over the course of the series! And bringing his monsters into the real world is one of his most diabolical plans yet, Goombas or no! And once again, I gotta give Jim props for being able to hold his own against the Kankrelats as well as he did with only a nail gun; that's some The Walking Dead shit right there!

Yeah, Jeremy inevitably has to "Return to the past, now!" erasing Jim's memories of helping the gang and putting Aelita back into the supercomputer, but let's face it: how could YOU explain laser Goombas attacking the school to the authorities? Plus, they basically saved Jimbo's life. That's why I don't mind the constant resets in this show: it may erase the good other characters do for the Lyoko Warriors, but they themselves don't forget and in the end, they start to treat characters such as Jim and even SISSI better for what they've done, causing them to gain development anyway. After this episode, Jim becomes less their pestering Inspector Zenigata and more their Coach McGuirk, only a lot more kickass, but I'd rather not talk about it. At least Aelita can now freely go to Earth as she pleases, so that's something, right?
