-Stupid ending trying to lampshade

This episode honestly feels like the exact opposite of "Tea at the Treedome" with absolutely none of the charm or comedy. When you start things off with SpongeBob and Patrick blowing hot sauce bubbles directly into their eyes, things go bad and they go bad fast; honestly, them throwing mustard into their eyes in "Enchanted Tiki Dreams" wasn't this painful or stupid. Their bubbles not only hurt Squidward, but also end up destroying all of Sandy's air, leaving her homeless and with very little air in her suit, and so it begins.

We are treated to Sandy literally going mad from suffocation and oxygen deprivation for the remainder of the episode, and they play it for comedy. Unlike "Tea at the Treedome" where SpongeBob was suffocating due to lack of water, there isn't any attempt at trying to make this funny, and any that do show up end up being really stupid, like Sandy sucking Pearl's blowhole for air (that sounds dirtier than it should be). And then there's the ending where SpongeBob gets Sandy to the surface with an air tank! I get it's supposed to be lampshading and all, but that's seriously not funny, guys. And I got to agree with Patrick here: "I don't think squirrels are suppose to be blue."

I'd also like to bring up the title card is kind of stolen from "Prehibernation Week" and has nothing to do with the episode; seriously, why all the needles? That's just misleading. Oh yeah, and they kind of already did this whole episode much better in "Pressure", and Sandy's suffocation was actually funny there for how over the top it was! And we even saw her lungs shrivel in that episode. I can't believe you managed to make an episode entirely about suffocating... Am I angry? No, just stupefied at the idea, concept and execution for this thing. The pacing starts out really slow and then goes by too damn fast for anything to matter. Also, doesn't Sandy keep spare oxygen tanks in her treedome? Just have SpongeBob go in and get one and the episode is over in 4 minutes! If I were to make a top 10 worst SpongeBob episodes list, this would be about number 7 because they've definitely done worse than make someone suffocate. Would anyone like to see a list like that?
