I love the color composition, the way you used the two different light sources, the addition of the haze in the air, and the overall softness of tone. Naturally, the expression on the old gnome alcemist's face, and the way you have the owl's eyes glowing up top, are perfectly symbolic of the surprise one would naturally feel after an unexpected result, and they capture the mood of this piece perfectly.Β
After all, most homunculus don't look anything like a gorgeous young woman.
