I've been working on this piece for a week and this is for the NZ Japan Day + Overload competition ! I've submitted the drawing so I'm finally posting it here :>!
The theme is "Ghibli At Festival" - Spirited Away was the very first Ghibli animation I've ever watched, so I decided to draw the characters doing the "Hatsumode" at a quiet forest shrine (:
Did a bit research I think this can be count as a festival. It's when you visit a shrine on the first day of the year ~
It was very challenging to paint more than one character because I've never done that, and I painted this with an anime style to suit the theme ^w^
What do you think they are wishing for ?
