Description "You must not think of theses steps as preparation for the beginning, but as the beginning itself..."
-E.L. Konigsburg, Excerpt from "A View from Saturday"

R: Quote from one of my favorite books to read as a child. This quote helped me draw this particular piece, and also make a tutorial for stretching watercolor.

I love this!  The colors, shading, design, and movement are so beautiful and inspiring.  The border was also a great choice to use!  <3

R: Awww thank you! The border was the gum tape that I used to keep the picture in place; I thought it would give the picture a finished, framed look. ^^
I'm glad you find my work inspiring! Thank you so much for the nice compliment! <3 <3

Or in the words of John DiMaggio: "Sucking at something is the first step to being kinda good at something." I have to admit, that's some pretty good water color. And on printer paper, too! I have a watercolor set lying around somewhere, but I only tried it once. May have try your technique sometime.

R: I glad you found it interesting! And yes, you should always try stretching paper on any sheet lighter than 200lbs... unless you can deal with the warps, which I cannot. xD Worth while things never come easily. If you do try, then let me know! I'd like to see your work.
