I've noticed I had never done a Rei Ayanami pic so I decided to do one. At first this was gonna be girl on beach kinda drawing but I started playing around with the background and that EVA came out. This is my first attempt at trying any sort of mech drawing lol. As to why she's on NERV HQ in a bikini....well...I don't know. lol

Lovely image of a lovely young lady. You said you were experimenting with the background; I don't know if you were really intending to make it that dark, but it fits with Rei's personality, in a "Bladerunner"/film noir kinda way. The pose is also, to this bird's mind at least, very much Rei ... like she's not really sure why she's wearing that outfit in the first place.

wow! nice job. It looks like Rei developed quite nicely!! i like how her hair is darker, perhaps to indicate her maturity?? although, didn't they mention in the show that only 14 yr olds can pilot evas?
