Description
2022Most colors, especially after the paint has been tamed, have no additional meanings other than that they look pretty. But this is not always true - without the color differentiation, Loop society is devoid of purpose. There are such stories associated with purple/violet that it is technically forbidden altogether.
In reality, no one will talk you out of getting purple things, or point out that in a statute there is the ban on purple colors, or tell you that you can only do such things in private. If you like it, have it, enjoy yourself. But the purple is attacked without warning and exterminated at sight.
All because of the reputation of the faction with the same name. They are the local "outcast paladins:" their idea originally was that they were chosen by the great random and should put an end to color prejudice, and the new color served as a symbol of the unity of blue and red. But historically this idea, despite gathering a group of like-minded people, was born too early to be painlessly accepted. Instead of ridding the population of stupid reasons to fight, the purple only deepened the division, and were rejected by both the ideologically red and the ideologically blue. Persecutions began. All sides turned bitter. As a result, endlessly spiraling into violent defending the idea of no violence, only the most convinced, the most resilient, the most amazingly combative, and practically immortal lunatics remained among the purple.
Everyone hates them.
They are very secretive - after all, they are against violence, so they avoid it as much as they can - and at the same time, very deadly. If a purple notices that he's being watched, he attacks immediately, kills and disappears, because it's the only way to keep their coordinates secret. Their efficiency is beyond reproach. Unlike the other inhabitants, the purple don't strive to kill as long and spectacularly as possible, they do quickly and quietly. They are able to survive in unfriendly conditions, are able to fight off numerous opponents alone, are constantly nomadic, and they hardly look for seeing even each other.
And what's funniest is that color discrimination in many regions of the Loop has faded away on its own. Gradually, along with the growth of the population and the reduction of free space to live, the identification of common enemies - it all just happened much later.
