Between is really the worst place to take a breath
But I'm out of air, and I can't figure out what else I am supposed to take in

Lover to lover, back and forth between the white and red
The pureness of clear contrasts against a wall covered in blood spatter

And to tell you the truth I couldn't tell you which was more appealing if I tried
My cheeks are a solid pink from running in between, not quite sure of myself

As much as I try to appear to love the paleness that lays before me
I can feel my heart silently dripping bright red drops of imperfection
No matter how much I try to hold onto my breath, it's the inside that's stained

in between, I am still trapped,

and the pool of blood is slowly drenching my halo,
though it hasn't quite dried black, the light will never shine as brightly as before
