Description
While light is still draining from the dayI'm free and stealing any moment I can to take with me,
Soon, they will be I have to surive life in black and grey
When light drips from the stars and stains the earth and sea
I hope I have caught enough fireflies to remember the holy light of love
I'm out of place living in heaven, and I will be pulled down from this perfect world
I can only hope I can remember what the rays looked like from above,
lighting up my face and reflecting off the gates of pearl
My heart has opened with them, spilling out liquid light of titatium
But, in my sleep, my fireflies die slowly, shattering thousands of labeled jars
And I'm even closer to falling out of reach of the sun
Passing planets and helplessly trying to grasp at stars
My footsteps are planned for me, and hope dies within each one
I fear of fighting to remember what I easily take in now,
as simple as breath into my lungs
Just as easy as being reckless when you are young.

This is a strong work, but it sounds like there may be more than just Diamonds involved with the formation of this. I like it, but it sounds like it may have a second meaning.

Diamonds did not have to do with the content in my writing. I never steal lines or ideas. I always say what song I was listening to, because sometimes what I do take, is the mood, or feeling of a song. With Diamonds, it was the tune that paved the road of this poem.
It does have a second meaning, but I chose to make a lot of metaphors, so that the poem had more artistic meaning, or so it wouldn't be so bland. Did you have any idea of what it means?
And thanks very much for the kind words, I very much appreciate it ^^
