Such mournful teardrops sweep beyond the surface
They are captured within the distant and painful photographs
The collage is Christianed in blood, a screaming and tainted hope

The distorted particles never ceased the unspoken fears and unshed tears
Born from the crispness of memory, and the knife that gets sharper
every time a gap is cut through the present, and the past pours from her

The cuts are covering her weaknesses, and shielding her strengths
Frozen in her moment of dreaming, with tear stained thoughts and fragments of glass
Each sparkle of hailing glass, cutting her with painful wanting
Stained glass coloured from the remnants of old blood, that shouldn't be resurfaced

How many rainbows are ending in a faded,sharp maroon,
Piercing the pathways of the skin and veins that lead to the heart

How many symbols of life, are dripping into a angry red ocean,
Breathing the water through gills of fear and lungs of hopeless longing

How many more of our pounding hearts never can be tamed through the echos of our last shudder,
Never put to ease though the wound that has long since returned its lost blood

When its only forgetting that will resurface as the deep blue it was beneath the skin,
It's pure form before the shocking realization and regret stains it red

It's not devotion,
and it's not hope
It's watching without leaping,

And how can I save her from herself, as I see her staring with dripping eyes,
Into the one thing she can't bring back

Because Iv'e seen far too many, cutting it open to spill to an unsatisfied emptiness
