Zorath: I call dibs on that atom smasher when you're done, Draco'
Lord Draco Draconis: That's one small shot for a Dragon....One GIANT Booom for all Dragonkind....
Elsie: Hey Draco: Indoor Range, people and Dragons trying to work upstairs! Walls, fragile---holding up the roof! Please don't (BOOM).....twit!

Just seeing those particle weapons makes me wonder if the roof caving in is the only thing she has to worry about. Given resent experience with temporal physics, they might get real vikings to shot at.

Very nice job, as before! And yeah, I bet Draco is going to have a BIG fine to pay there... and the punishment likely won't stop there.
That thing needs a specialized testing range... or just get an outdoor shooting range.
And, once again, I'm faving this, and am anxious to see the next one.
I'll admit, I'm also anxious to see Shinkou's... not to mention read his backstory for the "Leg Up" setting. But I'll wait until it goes up... don't wanna rush you any. However, I am suprised that he wasn't in this one, him being a bit of a marksman and all, but I assume you had your reasons.

Yeah, I think Rekalnus put Draco's company in the background in his "A Leg up 2" series, Draco is sort of a contractor working with the DBI... Some of the weapons in the series were designed by me for his story...
Yeah it is kind of an excuse, Rekalnus drew this without asking what kind of weapons would be involved, I personally would rather have been using the Tau Cannon from Half-Life 1 then some sort of dubious "Atom smasher" thingy...

Mostly it is that Lt. Shinkou would have his own times at the range, when DBI isn't there. Plus he would likely use the Martial Arts / Arcane range where spellcasting, shurikens, elements are provided for.
There will be backstory since he really just had a moment in Leg II. I'm juggling which of 3 sketches to start lining next, it will probably be his. The background will be very interesting.

Wait - he's a lieutenant!?!? Whoa... How'd that happen!?!? And how long has he been with the force?!? He shouldn't have been any older than 18-20 years when he was TFed... So yeah. I'm stunned, to say the least.
And I am curious as to what other charas will be alongside Shinkou, seeing as it's going to be a group pic. I doubt Aria will be there as she never appeared in the story, but I'm clueless as to who else may appear. Also, that 'very interesting background' has piqued my interest... So yeah.
Anxious to see his pic, and hope it goes up soon!

A few things:
First, I like the painting a lot.
Second, I think it's just me, but I have a feeling they are holding their weapons wrong.
Third, I sigh at Lord Draco's thought. I have far too much respect for Neil to even attempt a variation of his line outside space exploration. But that's just me.
P.S. I never liked the way the drum mag looks.

actually the range is larger then it looks (much larger since this one is in the DBI headquarters and was built by Draco's Company D.I.I. (Draconis Industries International), so it was likely built with larger dragons in mind.

Actually in the story, some of those big Thunderstrike guns were only used at the outdoor range. It was just a quick mention though.
