Well, it's been a busy week.
Maybe some of you remember the old hand-drawn ships I used to have on my gallery. I finally digitalized the first of them.
The design itself is original, but heavily inspired in the works of Nathan Zeichner, lead ship designer for the Fleet Operations mod for the Star Trek Armada II game. By the way, the escape pods are hidden behind those rectangles with red lines around, several escape pods are behind each, similar to the Defiant.
Of course I still have the other views to make, but I wanted to upload this anyway so I could get some input from you. This is the first time I do something like this, so please be critical and tell me what you think of both the design and my technique.

This reminds me some of the Saber Class ships but I like this much better as it shows much more traditional engine pylons and engine type. Finely done.

Thanks! Yeah it's based on a style which took heavy inspirations from the 'First Contact fleet', so there's a lot of Sabre in there.

Thanks! That was the idea. It doesn't have a defined role, not yet at least, but I plan on making it light on weapons. There are enough warships from that era.
