hehe no I wasn't and no its not a dangerous cloud it does not come with rain only small wind , rain can come much later , you can check at google difference between Roll Cloud and Shelf Cloud because they are very similar , visually you have to know which one you must be afraid of

Saw that 2 times in my life really close. Heard about 3 more in TV. One "deadly" (3victims) in Mazury in Poland. So i think that if you woud like to picturise it purposedly then hmm.. I'm afraid no chance
Ef-s 10-18 shouldn't be in FF about 16-26? There are lenses to FF that gives you similar effect I hope

Oh yes, there are 16mm lenses in EF range, but I pipe dreamed about an EF 10-18... (There is actually an EF 11 afaik, but the price is an arm and a leg...)
Only once I saw a phenomenon somewhat resembling a rolling cloud as it was very slowly rolling with downstream in front, completely cylindrical, but it was a standalone wossname without any clouds in front or behind. There was no visible change in weather. Like the "morning glory" above the Great Coral Reef (it appeared in the morning, too) but as far as I know we haven't got ocean or anything to form that... Unfortunately I had no chance to take a shot and in the evening news it was reported as an rarity that couldn't be explained here... It was like an UFO dedicated for cloud spotters

To chyba jednak mówimy o różnych formacjach. Dwa razy w życiu miałem okazję być w zasięgu takiego rolującego się wałka i za każdym razem dziękuję Bogu (tu wstaw co Tobie pasuje) że byłem za szybą. W obydwu przypadkach położyło w okolicy kilkadziesiąt drzew, to możesz sobie siłę tego potwora wyobrazić

no to w takim razie musiała być to chmura szelfowa zwana wałem szkwałowym bo tylko one niosą takie porywiste wiatry i tez przypominają takie walce ale wyglądają trochę inaczej i maja sile niszczącą, może uda mi się w tym roku złapać shelfa to wstawię.
