staring at the hands of time
facing myself in the mirror
- alone - complete -
i am humbled by nature
wearing childhood wings
we veer hurredly towards
this convergence
only to be halted sharply - dead
viewing now
the outward expression
of this passage
so incongruous ... so unlike
the spirit within
succumbing to reality
practicing acceptance
i warmly merge this disparity
of soul & skin
prepared
somewhat without anticipation
