There was a time once when men and other Lightworlders hunted kobolds like animals. They could do nothing but hide in the shadows of great dragons for protection, but those dragons disappeared. Hiding places faded and those that needed them suffered.

But then the Lightworlders in their hatred of each other made the whole world go dark-- too dark for them. So they faded too.

Now all the world's a shadow.
