sorry for updating again so soon!! im just so stoked for chapter two.

this is a simpler and shorter page to give myself a breather (ch2 and its individual pages are longer than ch1 on average). also its mostly conversation so !

notes:

- minerva has been the champion for decades. she's known more for her cunning and technique than raw strength in battle.

many people are attached to her not because she's a shining example of a human being or anything, but because she's A) competent and B) not a tyrant, which is more than other sinnoan rulers have been.

the current champion team is:
- minerva (noctowl)
- mina (banette)
- electivire and magmortar (siblings)
- primeape
- ariados

all of them have something in common :J

- champion fights do not *have* to be to the death, but they so often are that it's become tradition for an incoming champion to give a memorial speech for their predecessor at their inauguration.

- ghost types Are all people who have died. however, the reason they come back is a little...unconventional. well be learning more about it later.

- the pokeball image seen everywhere is actually one of the league's official symbols. because of minerva's known tendency towards surveillance and information-gathering, it's often jokingly referred to as "the all-seeing eye."
