sorry, I knew I said id take a break, ill do that soon ! I was just excited for chapter two. so we're off!

notes:

- as a brief refresher, the guy at the beginning is jules's dad, whitney ! he got redesigned so his species was clearer (hes also younger here).

the thing he's looking at in panel 2 is part of the galaxy everyone lives in. its visible across sinnoh and, due to its shape, has been dubbed "the spine" (some constellations are known as things like the ribs, etc.).

it's said to be bad luck on the nights it's most visible.

- league ids have little to no monetary value, and marcel wasnt planning on doing anything with it. hes just petty

- eterna is one of the older and more traditional states in the league. in times of crisis or chaos it kind of just clams up and has an "us first, everyone else can fend for themselves" mindset. it closes its borders whenever a new champion comes into power, war or contagion breaks out, natural disasters occur, and so on.
