It had to be done. It was about time, right?
I know what you're thinking: "How could he survive that long without drawing Zidane?" Psych! - I was asking myself the very same thing. How can ANYONE survive without painting Zidane? Truly, matters of such importance deserve a time-out, even though my schedule is kinda exploding right now (again. I need to work on my time management).

So, here he is, everyone's favorite monkey boy, mostly based on the artwork for FFissidia.

There's a lot of things I still see wrong with this. It is a tiny whee little bit off balance, and I'm not too fond of the blades (specifically the ornaments), and I would have liked to spend more time on this or that, and add some detail, and I'm not really convinced by the foldwork on the pants, but oh well, all things have to come to an end. (Also, I personally think I totally half-assed the hands. Serves me right for changing plans in the middle and abandoning the initial sketch for those.) Maybe I'll do some more finishing touches when I find the time.

Still, it was a lot of fun to go back to "my old style" again and so something more crisp and colorful for a change.
