Description .....Why do I have to come across a video like: www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpN5QD… that shows an easy to follow way to use a -free- drawing program to animate,, exactly a day before my last exam,, gosh darn

here have a messy doggo in 9 frames
didn't spend too much time on it,, becaue...you know...I should be doing something else

----
Tho if we compare this to my previous attempt (25 frames) a couple of months ago,, I think I've gotten a better grasp on how to use frames to do motion

Watch the feet, this is a trot cycle, not a walk cycle. Quadruped mammals walk in a more complex way www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqBcBs…

Thanks for the video link! o: But yeah people have pointed that out already, so no worries I'll keept that in mind for the next cycles I do
(for this first one I was enough challenged by trying to have the character stay consistent over the frames)

This is cute! Way better than anything I could come up with at the moment, despite my efforts lol.

Ohh this is fantastic!
one thing though, it looks a bit like they are limping, the head/body should bob with every step and not on only one side, thats what gives it a limp-ish look haha
this is so fantastic though, I love how you draw the anatomy

Not a bad walk cycle, but canines don't usually lift two legs at the same time when walking. Also, the hips and chest tend to move up and down as the legs come apart and together. I recommend this guide with 4 legged creatures: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5GvEm…

Also, here's a 4 legged run guide if you need it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpvjkp…

Hey thank you!! This will probably be only one of many tries at a walkcycle, so I guess my goal with this one was mainly to improve on the consistency of form (it's still too wobbly tho) I didn't really spend much time on trying to make it as accurate as possible,, but I will keep it in mind for future animations!
Making something move with differenciating rhythms is still a really weird concept for me..

Don't worry, I struggled a lot the first time I tried to make a walk cycle. Making sure the legs go up at different times and making the hips and chest move is something I still struggle with. I'm still not really used to it, though I've been animating for over a year now (just not that often). Practice makes perfect, I suppose!
