This "Disney Princesses in 50s Fashion Style" series was inspired by adrianaTheGirlOnFire 's disney princesses 195s Style . Along with the hundreds of thousands of AzaleasDolls artwork on here that was done on the website. If you want to do your 1950s Style Art for Disney Princesses, or just for fun in general. Well that was quite a leap. We went from 1991 to 2010. Now the reason why I went all the way to the beginning of the 2010s was, Rapunzel was the first official Disney Princess in a long time who wasn't categorized as a Person of Color. And I didn't want to white wash any Princesses that were of color that lead up to her. Those being (in Chronological Order of Release): Jasmine in Aladdin (1992), Pocahontas in Pocahontas (1995), Mulan in Mulan (1998), and Tiana in The Princess And The Frog (2009). I was considering doing Giselle. But I wanted to stick to my tradition of doing official Disney Princesses first, and then moving onto the ones who aren't. And I also eliminated ones that had only one outfit for now, so I can do the ones who have a wider range of wardrobe. So that means I had to not to one I heavily considered: Megara from Hercules (1997). Though I plan on doing those two groups after I get through the official Disney Princess lineup that I'm able to do, since again, I don't want to white wash any of the Princesses that are of color. And plan on trying to find an equivalent for them in the future. I hope you like this one, and I look forward to continuing this series.
