Remy and Richard were spending their Saturday down at the town park. The weather had been cold and overcast and Richard treated Remy for some hot chocolate at a coffee shop. Remy happily accepted.

After leaving the coffee shop, they crossed the street to the park. They walked around the track, talking with one another.

"I'm surprised we haven't received a lot of snow yet," said Remy. Richard agreed. "I know, it's like the weather can't make up its mind." He sipped his cocoa. "Now they are saying it's supposed to warm up later, it's crazy."

Remy looked to the right and was shocked to see who was suddenly coming towards them in the opposite direction. "Oh no, look!"
Richard turned to see the entitled mother and her daughter approaching them. "Not her again," he complained.
"I thought Leon said he and his family ran her out of town," said Remy. "I guess she snuck back in somehow," said Richard. "We better run before she gets to us." "What good will that do?' asked Remy.

The mother had already approached the boys. "Excuse me," she said, but my daughter is cold and she wants your hot chocolate."
Richard didn't hesitate. "No! I bought these fair and square for my friend. Besides, you're not supposed to be back here. So get your own and leave us alone!"

The mother became furious. "Why you ungrateful brats!" she cried. "How dare you speak to me that way. Neither of you deserve that chocolate. Now give it to me!"

When she tried to snatch their cups, they avoided her. Richard was angry and his tail bristled.

"This is the final straw," he said, He gave Remy his cup. "We've all had it with you and your entitlements. This is also your last warning. If you try to snatch our cups again I will spray you!"

The mother paused, then scoffed. "I don't believe you."

"Try me!"

Richard Slowly approached her and the mother started backing away. He flipped onto his hands, holding his bristled tail high in the air, holding up with all his strength. He meant business. The mother and daughter ran off screaming.

Remy thanked him for scaring the mother away, but both knew they probably hadn't seen the last of her.
