Description
Trait guide for the Imperial LungsInfo:
Type: Dragon
Diet: Omnivorous
Magic: Elemental magic. In very rare occasions they have non elemental magic
Age: Immortal
Height Range: 5'10" to 7'5"
Traits:
► The hair on their tails never lays flat, but curls.
► They are born with 1-2 long strands of hair that is marked off by decorative beads or clasps. This hair is the source of their magic and if cut they become a sea snake and loose all their powers and traits. The hair can be regrown by having another lung share part of their hair, however, most lungs will only do this with very close lungs. The hair will eventually grow back on its own. When it does it grows from snake to feral then to anthro
► Most lungs become very depressed (even suicidal) if their mate leaves or dies. They, like other dragons, mate for life and are very cautious when it comes to this. They rarely pick someone who is not immortal.
► They carry a life orb with them and never show anyone.
► Land and Sky dwelling lungs must spend a few days at the end of each month in the sea to rejuvenate
► They like to collect small precious things like beads, small gems, and shells.
► Imperial Lungs give a necklace made of small things from their horde as well as a piece of their horn to one they are courting.
► If an lung has wings they are always opaque. Typically the horns and claws are as well.
Mutations:
► Some lungs with high magical abilities or that are considered blessed typically grow mutations on certain parts of their bodies.
► The mutation is dependent on the magic of the lung
► The more powerful, the more the mutation will crop up on the body. The most common spot is on the horns by the ears or the tip of the tail.
► Gilded Foil Markings are very rare
Beads:
► Most lungs have common shaped beads. circles, long tubes, or squares are just a few.
► Uncommon are shaped beads. Stars, hearts, and odd shapes a few examples.
► Legendary beads are beads that have transformed into the mutation, typically around the tail, rarely in the hair.
Tail
► Lungs pride themselves on their tails so having cut tail hair is very uncommon. Typically common for outsiders or outcasts.
► Fins are a rare mutation of the top frill of hair.
► Multiple beads in the tail are very rare.
► Royal Coats are typical of the royal family or very high magical lungs.

common elements include air, fire, water, earth
more rare and magical lungs tend to govern higher or alternate forms of common magics

I have a question regarding the magics of a lung. Would Light magic be a possibility or is it strictly the 4 elements of earth?

Depends on what its being used for
what did you have in mind?

The simplest way I can think to explain would be photokinesis. Refract light around he/she to form a barrier, or condense it to form a weapon. (I have a fall back if the answer is no, so I won't be upset if this isn't allowed ^^)

Hi hi~! I have a few questions!
Are beads in their hair (on their head) a trait or can they be used freely? Not fused beads, just decorative ones.
Would crystals be classified as earth magic (since that's where they naturally occur) or would that be it's own other class of magic?
Thanks for the help, and the species are adorable, btw~!

Yes! they can have decorative beads in their hair. Some lungs may do this to hide their real beads.
Crystials are an earth magic, however they are classified as a rare type of magic. Precious gems are an uncommon type of magic though.

Ooh, sneaky!
And that makes sense. Would an uncommon magic type count as an uncommon trait? So a MYO with allowances for all common traits +1 uncommon trait would be okay to have an uncommon magic type? Just wanna make sure before I finish designing my lung
