MY GOD THIS TOOK SO LONG LOL! XD Honestly, theres a few little things I could have done better, like the smoke... but I just wanted this done already. XD But this is Miyu, my old Kitsune character that I have revamped. Her kimono pattern is based slightly off her older one, but with new and improved differences. Its not as BLINDING as it was before. XD;; Download for a better view of the details. Unfortunately theres no larger view for simply clicking the image... o A o;;;Related content

So THAT'S where the Icon came from!
Kitsune are awesome! I actually thought they existed only in Magic: The Gathering...

Ahaha yes, this is where its from~
And I would have to agree~ They are my favorite shape shifting animal spirit from Japanese folklore. I'm a pretty big fan of Japanese Folklore as well as all the twisted horror that follows the darker stories~
Kitsunes are in many stories involving japanese folklore. The God, Inari is also said to use them as his/her messengers.

I'm a big fan of Japanese legends too! Since I'm a big fan of Bakugan as well, I converted four characters (Amaterasu, Susano, Ryujin, and Orochinoid/Yamata-no-Orochi) into Bakugan.
I bet they were in several stories. I remember reading on Wikipedia that Kitsunes often take the form of a beautiful girl, travelers often (unknowingly) marry a kitsune, who proves to be a devoted wife, and then finds out the true nature of the spirit and the kitsune is forced to leave. In extreme cases, the victim wakes as if from a dream, soiled and discombobulated, and would return home in shame.
It would be cool if the guy was still in love with the spirit, and the spirit and the traveler would stay together.
OMG... this is strange... a Japanese god who's depicted as male AND female. Inari is one of the strangest legends I've heard of. Just wondering, did you know that Inari happens to be composed of three to five Kami?

This looks so good! I can tell a lot of work and time went into this. Beautiful drapery and the tails balance out nicely.
