Process photos from my 2nd Roxas wig, which I wore to Connecticon 2011.Planning on straightening bits and restyling a little before I wear it again for Anime Boston 2012, but overall, I like it! I purposely chose a darker, more gold color, because I wanted to match the gameplay-version of Roxas, rather than the cover art/2D art versions. In fact, 358/2 Days was open on my DS and being used as a reference picture while styling!
Used got2b spiking glue and freeze hold spray, but may use Aquanet for the tweaking later.

So would this same process work for a Black Star wig as well? I'm helping my little brother (he's not even 12, bless his heart) with his first cosplay and he wanted to do Black Star xD So I'm looking around to see what would work best for such a rambunctious hairstyle~

As far as tying up the spikes to separate them, I'm sure it would work fine! However, make sure you have a thickly wefted wig- Black Star's spikes are pretty thick!

I HIGHLY recommend Arda Wigs! For Black Star, I'd go for their Jareth in the color Aqua (072A)!

The good thing about got2b is that it holds REALLY well. From experience, I can tell you that when used to spike real hair, it takes about 5 showers to get out.
I bought mine at CVS. XD It's probably at Sally's or something also, so check there!

The wig was actually loosely pre-styled! I washed it out after I got it. The one I used was this [link]
As for tips, make sure to have a reference picture- you don't want to style from memory. It's a pain. Also, be patient! A good wig is styled carefully, and sometimes, you DO have to prop up your elbow while you hold up a spike for a half hour. XD Good luck!
