I stopped writing this halfway through just to stop laughing. It is so brutally honest and true, and to hear them say it out loud as the elites is refreshingly cathartic.
Then again, they are superheroes, and for the world to progress to a point where the elites openly admit their superiority means they can back up all challenges and threats to their position.
Perhaps.
And thanks, the analogy of superhero as disdainful elite feels so appropriate these days, and runs counter to how they are being sold to us as mindless entertainment.
