Agenda-driven media does not interest me. I feel a disconnect there, where the story and characters take a backseat to a message the artist feels close to. Could there be a message here? Um, yes, really you could see this series as a massive environmental statement. But in a way I am not here to preach, nor to agenda. I show the end result of a world where people stopped caring - or something else happened.

At this point, we don't know.

And not knowing lets the reader put their feelings and ideas of what happened into the story. I want to invite people in, not push them out. The story here is very close to the ground, very realistic, and very personal. It feels like being a child, growing up poor, and not knowing if you are going to eat dinner tonight.

At some point, the agenda doesn't matter to people on life's edge. Consequences do. Choices do. Survival means winning, and winning feels impossible each and every day.
