Alva was first seen here three years ago, and this picture started the look and concept for the entire series. At this point I had no idea I would be turning this into a series and it set off the concepts and conflict of the story. It was really just a fight/sexy wrestling pic, but very cool and with a lot of energy. Then, all the pieces fell in place. Why no clothes? Who were these two? Why were they fighting? What was their world like?

There is this theme to the series that sort of parodies superhero comics where they draw women near-nude and then color them in. Here, the gals are that way for a reason. The idea has evolved over the years and there are some new twists, but that central theme stays the same. The gals absorb the energy of the sun for their powers directly through their skin (like a battery) and then are powerless at night.

Plus, I have never done any of the gals in a traditional 'in the city doing superhero stuff' arc. Really difficult since a lot of supporting sets and figures are needed to do it right (and I mean a lot). Challenge accepted.
