Description
Ok, here is the new redhead I previewed a few days back. Not had any time or energy last few days to do anything much, but finalised this (kind of) last night to get a render off.
I was stuck for a name, I had called her Project M at random, but thinking today while driving my kids home, I recalled a young lady who I have spoken to at my local grocery store, and her name is Meleah.
I think it suits her, and you could use either Mel or Leah as a short version and it would still suit her, so she is stuck with it now.
Also have no idea at all how she is going to fit into the role play. If I can get a half decent nights sleep and day of quiet and rest (come on Pants Off Tuesday!!!) and can let my brain do its strange uncontrolled thing, I shall see what Meleah tells me she is like. I have a small itchy thought about some kind of link to Elise, or a future development and will let it snowball from there. I won't know until it dribbles out of my ears onto the keyboard.
Edited her texture to remove the eyebrows so could use the fibremesh ones I always use, though either those or her sculpt needs a small fitting tweak. They don't quite fit right. It may just be a quick run across her brow area with a soft sculpting brush to push that area out a bit, probably easier that fooling with the eyebrows themselves.
I exported the glasses she had in the preview and made some small changes to the frame and re-textured them on suggestions made on her first preview I think by Surreal-Muse .
Still has skins tweaks left, and renaming/reassigning etc.
Body wise, not yet finished, not been able to work on naked figures while kids here except at night but been too sore and tired.
I have a curvier figure in mind, not cast-iron curvy like Venice, but soft curvy like Milla, but taller and bigger breasted.
I'll play some more and do a couple of test renders to see how I like it as I also finish off her skin tweaks (need to clone out some anatomical stuff so as not to interfere with the genital prop I use and tweak shader settings and may add a few freckles.) I also need to work on her eyes, though I do like this pale blue she has now that came with the skin resource she uses.
I am frigging knackered now, legs are killing me, but may get to work on her later tonight or whatever. See what happens. Keen to get her and her various girl bits out there.

Thanks. Glasses are sexy if the frame suits the face.

I really like how my new glasses suit my face. They are very feminine as well. My old ones were quite manly looking. Got the progressive lens this time too... I'm really liking those.

You are beautiful, but my heart is with Mila, Erin, and Elise.
the DoF is perfect for a portrait shot.

We must follow our hearts ♥
I love my DOF, in both rendering and in photography and always prefer a wide aperture where ever possible.
Daz has a weird way of treating f/stop settings though, it has it separately for DOF in the actual camera settings and for exposure in the tone mapping settings. Which is strange when you are used to working with aperture, ISO and shutter speed. It also has very weird ideas about aperture as well, on a camera lens this sort of DOF would be around the f/1.4-1.8 region, like with a good wide 50mm or 85mm (85mm is the focal length I usually use in Daz) but this is actually f/22 according to Daz.
Silly.
I rarely touch the tone mapping unless needed like in today's Milla image, preferring to set exposure via the environment and lighting instead.

What? f/22????
Hard to believe.
I would say in real life this shot is about f/2.8 with 135 mm, 100 ISO and 500 shutter speed.
In Blender I use I configured my camera to real in life parameters so it is not different for me. I use Canon bodies and lenses.

Yep, default f/stop on a Daz camera is f/22 and that is what is used here, I rarely need to go lower as you need to have it bang on for it to not make the wrong things blurry. It has a very strange way of treating DOF and took me along time to get used to it. Now I am comfortable in getting the toe DOF I want.
This reminds me of the effect I get with my 1.8 50mm or my workhorse 70-200mm 2.8 lenses ( I have historically used Nikon bodies and glass, but my DLSR, an older D600 is much neglected these days)

I'll get to know more of DAZ camera after I learn more all about it. For some reason, I am still uncomfortable when I open DAZ interface.
Using sliders to get poses to look right is like using Xnalara with FK system and I prefer IK.
In Poser I can at least grab the limb and move it naturally, maybe it is the same in DAZ but at least in the DAZ tutorials, it is not shown.
A Nikon guy, I see. Well, there is nothing wrong with Nikon, but I grew up with Canon in my hands, started shooting when I was 8.
Oh yeah, the 70-200 2.8L IS II USM is my workhorse as well.
Right now my hands are itching to get the EF 16-35 f/2.8L III, but I am waiting for some good sale.
I know, DSLR is heavy and bulky, now most people will get away with murder just using mirrorless, but I am an old school, plus what should I do with all my glass and bodies?
Already have a shelf/museum of old cameras. remember how digital killed film?

It's not that hard, just not what you are used to with RL cameras.
You can grab a part of a Daz figure and move it around, not just with the sliders. Just use the Universal tool and grab say a hand or something and move it around, rotate the viewport around the model to make certain directions easier to see and do. The sliders help for smaller adjustments etc as you can input an exact value by typing it into the sliders parameter. I tend to pick a preset pose that is 'close enough' and adjust, as that is one thing Daz has thousands of, preset poses.
As yourself with Canon, I have spent most of my photography life with a Nikon. You just get the layout of the buttons and adjustments into your muscle memory, which of course drives brand loyalty due to simple, comfortable familiarity. I've used Canon, but only if I have had to borrow one. I considered getting a mirrorless, but do so little photography these days it is not worth it, and like yourself, I love a big heavy DSLR body. Feels real and not like a toy.
I stick with three lenses mostly, my 50mm 1.8, my 70-200mm 2.8 and a 24-70 2.8 for the odd shot. The 70-200 I have is a great and not super expensive lens which lets me have those nice focal lengths like 85mm, 105, 150 etc that work well for portraits. I'd kill for a fixed 85mm 1.8 but I just can't justify the cost these days.

Oh, really, you just described the way I do it in Blender with rigged bodies. LOL
I guess I should stop being a chicken and give it a try.
AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G is the good price of $476.95 in NY B&H store right now.
But for a prime lens, this is normal.
I know how you feel, the Canon EF 16-35 f/2.8L III that I am eyeballing now is $1900 and I can't justify its cost, specifically considering occasional usage.

You should And as I have always said, I am here to help. Both technically where I can and with pointing you at the right content.
Yeah then add about 30% to convert to AUS $.....
The 70-200mm will work fine, since I do so little, f/2.8 is still nice and wide.

I love her already. My weakness is red heads. I love her name too, Leah has always been a fave name of mine. I finally bit the bullet and re downloaded zbrush again.. so who knows an 100 percent original character might be in my future
I really love the idea you have for her figure, I'd say my weakness is curves but to be honest I think a beautiful woman in general is my weakness
Keep doing what you do, you do it amazingly. I also hope for more pain free days for you.
All the best!

Thanks
Yes, redheads have always been a major weakness of mine.
Leah is a nice shortened version, though I'll probably use her full name. Ana is the only one I ever use her short name.
I still just use Blender for my sculpts, I only really use 3 brushes, Zbrush would be overkill for me while just doing genesis 8 sculpts.
Her figure, well I am finalising and importing/saving her full morph now, at least to send a working version to my remote box for carefree rendering and it has remained curvier than most of my girls (who are usually slim and petite)
I just need to set her skin mats up properly for that transfer.
Back to the doctor in the morning for pain relief adjustments, the last few days have been horrible.

I want a nerd girl lover.
Yeah, not a common combo, though Ana has blue eyes and red hair as well. Bit of an effect of her heritage.
So far she is shaping up, pardon the pun, to be pretty, well, shapely.
Might be running if a nude tonight to test if I like her figure.

I was thinking a while ago that your villa needs a hacker. This lass reminds me of Oracle from DC Comics. I didn't necessarily want to put ideas in your head but I'm guessing you might be thinking along similar lines, given the 'nerd girl lover' statement... Perhaps she has a subtle nerdy tattoo on the back of her neck or something. That would be cool.

Tattoos are strictly banned on my girls
I am still not really sure on her character, her name is as far as I have gotten but been having a few days off so when I get back into my normal routine I can give it some thought.
Some kind of hacker type of electronics expert would fit nicely with Rada's security background.

Those eyes suit her, they'll probably be her 'character' eyes. Might change the sclera though.

Thanks.
Another one of my face sculpts that just worked.
I reckon once you see her fully naked, that innocence will be blown away, though with luck she'll keep the shyness. That's damn sexy.
The glasses really work well for her, especially after I remodelled them to fit her face better, and I find the right frames on the right face extremely attractive (a lot of my most beloved game characters wear glasses)
