There was an event today.

I had planned on a easy day of aimless wandering and people watching. I had no official duties and wanted to work on a personal collection of images, a type of street photography series, if you could call it that, to document the candid life of these beautiful people. I had a shady route picked out, one that would afford me views on several areas, prepared a parcel of refreshments and was looking forward to a day of simply seeing whatever may come.

I finished my breakfast, dressed and began to collect my camera and any gear I may need when the ringing of chimes, a light crystal sound, unseen yet from every angle filled the air. I stood and listened until Alexei burst into the room.
"Is your gear ready?" He gasped, out of breath from obvious haste.
"It's always ready. What is going on?"
"Didn't you hear the chimes?"
"I did, yes."
"Then let's go! Spring is here!"

Spring.
I grabbed my gear and followed Alexei out into the hall. The chimes continued to ring. It was a happy sound and, if one focused upon it with our un-attuned Human ears one could make out a persistent and repeating melody. We had heard of the chimes and their tune, our liaisons called it, when loosely translated, the "Sunsong" yet we had never heard them. They only played for Spring and she had not been here.
Spring had been away as part of a festival in the south where each year one of the "Four Seasons" as we have come to know them is sent to attend. They rotate this duty in order of their titles. It is both a social and political duty meant to affirm ties and alliances between all the nations who attend. Next year it is hoped that our own Human nation will be allowed to participate.
As it was the beginning of the actual season, Spring had come home.

In the hall I found Alexei flanked by two of the Royal Guard. One I knew well, Serilla, the other was a new face to me. They both smiled brightly and gestured for us to follow.
"She is still in the main courtyard" Serilla said "We shall meet her there."
I followed at the rear, checking and double checking my camera was ready to go. I did not want any failures at a time like this. The sounds of happy talk gradually increased as we passed along the walkways and avenues, people from our Expedition mixed with the locals as they made their way towards the main courtyard. There was an air of simple joy that infected everyone. I was marveling at this when Serilla had glanced back an noticed my expression.
"Spring is special" She said with a warm smile.
"I though all four of them were special"
"They are." She said as we rounded the last corner to our destination "Spring is even more so. I must warn you. Prepare yourself for when she..."
A laugh rang out. I stopped mid step and nearly dropped the camera. My spine felt as if warm hands were running along it and my eyes blurred. I groped blindly for a wall as a feeling like...I can't even describe how near knocked me over. I blinked my eyes clear and looked at Alexei. He had braced against a pillar and also looked as if his legs were going out from underneath him. He stared at me with wide eyes.
"What was that!?" He exclaimed.
Our escorts were laughing.
"Apologies, I spoke seconds too late." Serilla said. "Prepare yourself for when she laughs. You'll get used to it. I hope." She winked at me. "Are you both going to live?"
"I think so. When these invisible hands stop massaging me." I said
"That is the best part!" Our second guard said, still laughing.
"What was that?" Alexei asked again. He had managed to stand up straight. "I've not felt anything like that from the others."
"No. Spring is special. It is the beginning of her time and it gives her power a form that others manifest in different, more subtle ways" Serilla said.
"It is passed along the crystals you heard and reaches every part of our city." Our second escort said
"I can see now why there is such an air of excitement!" I said. "Do you feel it a strongly as I just did?"
"Yes though we are more attuned to it."
"And we do not nearly wet ourselves when we hear it." Serilla teased.
"Very funny." I said but could see the joke and how close it was to the truth.
"If you are ready let us introduce you."
"Lead on." Alexei straightened himself up and tried to look professional though I knew he was still reeling, as was I.

In the centre of the courtyard dozens of people of both races milled. Many laughed, a few were weeping from joy. I saw a number from out expedition were seated in the shade while being attended too. The look on their faces told me they were just as shaken as I was. Perhaps being closer the effect was stronger.
Serilla lightly tapped her lance on her shield and the crowd parted. Then I saw her.
She shone like the sun itself. The was a vibrancy and vitality to her I still fail to find appropriate words to describe. She looked delicate, fine boned and feminine but I felt a solid strength from her that I knew even a glacier could not wear down. Her voice was that of the Sunsong, light and warm and joyful. She embraced Serilla as an old friend.
"Serilla!" She exclaimed "How lovely to see you again."
"The pleasure is mine, My Lady."
"I see I have to break you out of that 'My Lady' thing again."
"It is my training, My Lady."
"Pssht." Spring waved her hand lightly. "We shall see how many 'My Ladies' you have in you after a few jars of spring wine later. Now who do you have with you?"
Alexei was introduced first as due his seniority and I could hear him struggling with his usual calm demeanor. I've never seen him so rattled and had I not also nearly fallen over I would have relished any future opportunity to remind him of it.
I had my camera to my eye and framed a shot. I took a few frames while she talked with Alexei of meeting our Second Expedition in the southern cities and how she looked forward to spending more time with our own party.
Serilla said something which I did not quite catch yet Alexei looked flushed and I knew she was having a small joke on our earlier reactions.
Spring laughed again.

Well that kind of escalated from the simple 'couple of paragraphs' I had originally intended so I'll keep the rest as concise as possible and discuss her more when her nude debut is done and ready to publish or within comments if it is required.

So, I went and did it and named her Spring. I spent much of the last few hours looking at her while slowly and painfully typing out the above to be sure. After writing what I did she confirmed herself as Spring and I am not sure another could do the job now.

She is the 5th or 6th character to have come from my search for Spring (you've met one of the others, Serilla)

She is not quite what I originally envisioned Spring to be but I realised after so many attempts than I should stop doing that and just let it happen. I bought a handful of characters and some hair, including the one you see here, in the recent Valentines Day Daz sale and she is a mix of them, some older characters including some of my own as well as personal touches in Blender. I let Spring come to me instead of trying to chase her down.

Her skin is also from one of the recent purchases, thank you Mousso, but with some tweaks. Still need to make some edits to the textures but most will not even notice them so I won't go into detail. After that is done I may change her brows to another product and clean them up.

She probably also needs another run through Blender to adjust her shape which is 85-90% ready to go. Not had time to do nude tests yet. I'll probably do that tomorrow rather than tonight as my hand has had it's fill of Monday (I think it is Monday anyway)

Anyway, most have probably not read this far so I won't bore those left anymore

Will maybe go into more on her next image.
