Purity, SummerCorp's spokesperson and prized possession, was in desperate need of upgrades after her defeat and humiliation first at the hands of Black Mass and then again when she was tortured and enslaved by the villainess War Mare.

The superheroine enters the Season 1 reboot completely mind wiped of those horrific events under the orders of her father, Howard Summers, owner of SummerCorp. Both Purity and her faithful companion Drone have undergone extensive upgrades with the hope that together Purity and Drone can enter Super City and face down Black Mass in a rematch of a fight that Purity doesn't remember losing, or even fighting. Purity's experimental suit is specifically designed to combat Black Mass's matter manipulation ability. The prototype is based on the theory that the suit will randomly adjust the atomic weight of the particles of Purity's body to negate Black Mass's ability to manipulate the weight of those particles at the molecular level. SummerCorp scientists believe that Purity's new implants, along with a magnetic field produced by Drone, will be enough to render Black Mass powerless in the presence of Purity and her mechanical sidekick.
