Description
Here's my first render of 2013!The scene started with 2 girls, but I was not sure, so I removed one and I liked the result.
I still need to install tons of stuff in my runtime so I think I'll get better poses for couples in the next weeks!

What is this art form, what is the program, and how does it work?

it's 3D Art
I've done this image with Daz Studio 4.5 Pro, and some items bought in the past months (yes, I don't create 3D props). After I rendered the scene, I enhanced it with Photoshop.
With Daz Studio or Poser (another 3D program widely used) you put some items together for creating a scene: the character, skin, hair, clothes, backgrounds, and you can pose your character, change materials, applying lights and shadows, shaders, and rendering everything using the built-in engine or using 3rd parties engines (like LuxRender)

Yeah, I was wondering about creating models. I was hoping I could find a simple one to use. T^T

Well, if you want to try Daz Studio, it's still free (i paid for it... :/ ) You can grab your copy on the Daz3d.com website
You can find free items too there, or you can check Renderosity.com (freebie section)

A program that originally costed money and came to be freeware, or does it have some sort of premium?

Well, I think it's cause having the program for free will let you buy the content in an easier way (for them )
