Description
Captain's Log Stardate 2464.51 Captain Julian Talos recording. The USS Enterprise is performing her space trials en-route to Vulcan to pick up crew and provisions. I am admittedly on edge today...I have not sat in a captains chair since the Battle of the Core...since the Endeavor. This may be my old chair, removed from the wreckage of the Endeavor after it was towed back through the gateway by the USS Armistice following the battle, but its not the same. The sounds and sights of this new vessel are an entirely different feel to the Endeavor. The Endeavor...was a soldier's ship. Gray walls and soft lighting with the sound of the ship providing a soft background harmony. The Enterprise has white halls with bright lights illuminating the ship. Consoles surround the bridge with blue holo-readouts and green touchscreens, thankfully the designers knew better than to use bright shades and instead chose subtlety. Despite this the ship is still far more active and lively than the Endeavor ever was. And the crew...My first officer is in engineering with my old chief engineer...but other than that...Gone. We lost a lot of good officers in the final battle and most of the survivors from the endeavor either requested transfer to a base or planet or left starfleet altogether. Too many memories after the Endeavor. Many who stayed were promoted and now serve as officers or captains on other vessels. A few ensigns and lieutenants are still under my command, but other wise the crew...they're new to me, like the Enterprise herself. I'm not used to this new command yet... but i'm the Captain of the Enterprise and I won't let Starfleet down.
Quick picture I made of my Phoenix class Enterprise H approaching using a picture of Vulcan and a render of the model made by Shea Walker.
